I first want to thank my wife, Jaynice, for her support and help. I’ve tried to go door to door and personally meet everyone in district 5, and Jaynice has been at my side step for step. She learned pretty quickly to wear comfortable shoes! We’ve met some great people. We’ve been barked at by dogs. We’ve even been lost a time or two, but I didn’t let her know I was lost.
People have voiced concerns – young families especially are hurting. I met one young family with three kids. The dad drives to Hattiesburg every day to work. Another family we met, the dad wasn’t home because his work took him out of state—gone eight days at a time. Many families have voiced concerns about their kids moving away because there are no jobs. My research shows that in the last eight years, Clarke County has lost almost 2,000 people. This trend will continue unless changes are made. My number one goal is job creation.
While my opponent was working as an hourly employee in his uncle’s parts store, I was working as an entrepreneur. I bring over 35 years of successful sales experience, and our investments have put over $2 million in the Clarke County economy. These investments brought people into Clarke County from other states and placed properties on the tax rolls. We’ve got to “sell” Clarke County to prospective employees and companies. I’ve got the experience and the track record to do this. Put my sales experience to work for Clarke County. The time is NOW! On November 5, vote for change. Vote for Neely!
