Quitman Girls Powerlifting has ended their season on a high note. The Girls Powerlifting team placed 4th overall in the state on April 1, 2022, in the MHSAA State Powerlifting Championships. Five girls medaled in their respective weight classes.
J’Nyia Arnold won 1st place in the state in the 220 pound weight class.
J’nia Noel won 1st place in the state in the 114 pound weight class. J’nia was also recognized as an Elite 12 lifter with her 655 pound total being the highest in her weight class in 1-6A.
Caroline Goodwin placed 3rd in the 105 pound weight class.
Emari Moody placed 3rd in the 242+ pound weight class.
Raleigh Taylor placed 3rd in the 220 pound weight class.
