Coming Home to Clarke County is proud to present this year’s Granny of Honor, Lorene Shipp.
She is a 90 year old individual that many people in the community knows and loves.
“I never meet a stranger,” stated Shipp. “I love to talk and meet new people, so I never meet a stranger.”
She attends Elwood Church of God in the Elwood community and loves to go to church and spend time with all her family and friends.
When she has the time, she also enjoys being able to go on cruises and shopping.

This fun event will start off with a parade beginning at 12:00 p.m. The parade will start at Jones College, located at 1200 Erwin Rd., Stonewall.
The parade theme will be “Celebrating and Inspiring Our Youth.”
Following the parade, from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., there will be live music, games, and vendors at the Stonewall Town Hall, located at 801 Erwin Rd.
The event plans to honor healthcare workers, first responders, fire fighters, and law enforcement.
