The Quitman High School baseball team is offering a unique opportunity for children and parents alike: Halloween Midnight Madness All Sports Camp.
The camp will take place on October 27 from 6:00 p.m. – 12:00 midnight and is for ages 6-12.
It will allow the kids in the community to enjoy a sports-filled night and allow parents time to enjoy themselves.
“We are offering for all ages a sports night camp where we will be introducing and playing all different sports,” explained Quitman Baseball Coach Eric Johnson. “We think it not only gives our youth knowledge of sports but also allows them to have fun playing under the lights. We are always looking to have community involvement with our youth and felt like parents could enjoy a few hours of downtime with it being as busy as it is this time of year. We are hoping to see all of our local kids and surrounding counties for this great camp.”
Pizza, Halloween candy, and camp t-shirts will be provided for everyone participating in the camp. Each participant will need to bring a towel.
While there, kids will enjoy playing kickball, baseball, flag football, dodgeball, and basketball. Players and coaching staff will be overseeing the camp and activities.
The cost of the camp is $60 or $75 for kids who need to stay after school until camp starts.
The money obtained will go towards different projects they would like to complete involving their facility.
“We are doing multiple projects: getting the hitting facility insulated, heated, and cooled, along with other facility upgrades,” expressed Johnson.
Forms to sign up are available at Quitman Lower Elementary and Quitman Upper Elementary. The deadline for registration is October 23.
