Harold E. Sumrall Jr., 74, of Quitman, Mississippi, passed away on November 11, 2022, in Meridian, MS.
He was born on September 6, 1948, to Harold and Virgie (Miller) Sumrall in Meridian, MS.
Harold was a longtime bank officer at Southeast Mississippi Bank in Quitman, MS. Then he was a broker for S. and W. Lumber Company in Waynesboro, MS. He served with the Quitman Jaycees. He was instrumental in organizing and assisting with the "Heart Fund" golf tournament at the Quitman Country Club.
Harold is survived by his wife, Marcia J. Sumrall; daughter, Melanie (Jeremy) Hadley; son, Jonathan H. (Kelly) Sumrall; six grandchildren, Dustin (Lacie) Hadley, Brandon (Courtney) Hadley, Cameron (Megan) Hadley, Jessie Johnson, Cooper Johnson, and Julie Gavin; four great-grandchildren, Dean Hadley, Dawson Hadley, Samuel Hadley, and John Thomas Hadley; sister, Martha (Wesley) Slay; nephew, Jeremiah "Boomer" (Sabrina) Graham; niece, Shellie (Mike) Kirby.
He was preceded in death by his father, Harold E. Sumrall, Sr.; mother, Virgie Lee Sumrall.
Visitation was held Wednesday, November 16, 2022, 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. at Wright's Funeral Home, Quitman, Mississippi.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, November 16, 2022, 11:00 a.m. at the Odd Fellows Cemetery with Rev. Michael Evans officiating.
Burial was in the Odd Fellows Cemetery.
