We are looking for Individuals to display their collections that would, not only showcase America's ingenuity and greatness, but would demonstrate the hard work Americans have shown during the last 250 years.
The Clarke County Chamber of Commerce is seeking the following:
A farrier willing to demonstrate horse shoeing and talk about the process and if he is familiar, the history of why horses were shod.
Someone who can display canned goods and can talk about the process and the history of canning goods.
Someone willing to bring a cow and demonstrate how to hand-milk it.
Someone with a portable grist mill who could grind corn for cornmeal or grits.
Someone who could demonstrate the churning of butter in a real butter churn.
Someone who has collected horse drawn farming equipment and would be willing to bring, display and talk about how it was used.
Displays of Native American artifacts.
We would like to have a display of hand tools, the older the better with identification as to how they were used.
People are proud of their collections. We would love to have displays of early bottles and glass jars or other glassware, cut glass, early American made china or pottery.
