Henry Edward Johnson Sr., 73, of De Kalb, Texas, formerly of Pachuta, Mississippi, passed away on April 30, 2022, at Christus St. Michael's Health System in Texarkana, Texas. He was born on March 16, 1949, to Henry Ford and Florence Marie (Neal) Johnson in Carmichael, MS.
Henry is survived by his daughters, Jennifer (Charles) Rainer, Stacy Thompson, and Sherry Johnson; his sons, Henry Edward Johnson, Jr. "John Henry" (Christy), Max Johnson, Andy Johnson, and Randy (Angel) Johnson; six sisters; and a legacy of 28 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Ford and Florence Marie Johnson; granddaughter, Alliray Johnson; and grandson, Larry Ronald Palmer, Jr.
Visitation was held Friday, May 6, 2022, after 5:00 p.m. at Wright's Funeral Home in Quitman, Mississippi.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, May 7, 10:00 a.m. at the Pachuta Cemetery with Rev. Ricky Carlisle officiating. Burial took place in the Pachuta Cemetery.
Pallbearers for the service were Henry Edward Johnson, Jr. "John Henry", J. J. Johnson, Charles Rainer, Gage Rainer, Randy Johnson, Andy Johnson, David Brownlee, and Max Johnson.
