The 2021 Municipal Primary Election was held Tuesday, April 6. Only two of the towns held a Primary, Shubuta (Democratic) and Stonewall (Republican).

Shubuta Democratic Primary Election RESULTS
Mayorial Incumbent Cleveland “BaBa” Peebles won the election with 79 votes. Willie B. Nelson qualified but withdrew before the election. He still received 35 votes.
For the Board of Aldermen, winners were the top 5 highest votes: Dora J. McFarland – 95 votes; Toria Hoze Miles – 94 votes; Rev. Everett Heidelberg – 92 votes; Charles Williams – 91 votes; and Latricia McCarty “Tic” – 75. Dan Kuder received 62 votes.
Democratic Executive Committee: Dorothy Davis – 87; Thomas McDonald – 84; Annie J. Powe – 78 votes.
Stonewall Republican Primary Election RESULTS
Mayorial Incumbent Jerry Rich won with 104 votes against Greg Mangum, 96 votes.
For the Board of Aldermen, winners were the top 5 highest votes: Benjie Fleming – 162; Kim Street – 159; Ricky Carpenter – 152; Richard Smith – 135; and Shanna Jo Starks – 132. Glenn Cook received 104 votes.
The General Election will be held Tuesday, June 8, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The only town to have a General Election will be the City of Quitman. Residents will vote at the Quitman City Hall.

Village of Pachuta WILL NOT HAVE AN ELECTION. All candidates will go into office since there is no opposition: Mayor - Phillip D. Fuller; Board of Aldermen - Glenda A. Bennett, Keith Bogan, Terry W. Herring, Amy Newton, Shirley Fisher Johnson.
Town of Enterprise WILL NOT HAVE AN ELECTION. All candidates will go into office since there is no opposition: Mayor – Tony Chancelor; Board of Aldermen – Ben Moore, Darrel Phillips, Emily Chancelor, Talmadge Gray, Heath Kasselman.
