James Novel Albritton, 85, of Quitman MS passed away on December 3, 2022.
He was born on April 13, 1937, to William Arthur and Henrietta Albritton in Shubuta, MS.
Novel is survived by his wife, Jeri Ann Albritton; sons, Kirk Evans, Jim Albritton (Amy); daughter, Tammy Chancellor (Joe); grandchildren, Josh Chancellor, Jacob Chancellor (Sydney), Bailey Albritton Hutson (Mitchell) and Graydon Albritton; great grandchildren, Kimber and Josie Kate Chancellor; brothers, Clarence (Becky), Joe (Priscilla), Danny (Peggy), Pete (Shelley); and sisters, Carolyn Slay and Mary Jane Donahoe (Troy).
He was preceded in death by parents, Arthur and Henrietta Albritton; daughter, Kyla Albritton; brother, William Arthur “Red” Albritton, Jr.; and brother-in-law, J.L. Slay.
A memorial service was held Wednesday, December 7, 2022, at First Baptist Church, Quitman, MS. Donations may be sent to Quitman First Baptist Music Ministry.
