Jay B. Stallings, 62, of Meridian, Mississippi, passed away on May 20, 2026, in Jackson. MS.
He was born on July 16, 1963, to Charles L. and Tommie (Pickard) Stallings in Quitman, MS.
Jay was a graduate of Clarkdale High School where he enjoyed playing in the band. He continued his education at East Mississippi Community College where he was in the marching band, concert band and jazz band. Jay spent most of his career working in the automotive/transportation industry. He had several hobbies that he loved: fishing, playing softball, riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, cutting his grass, playing guitar, and he had a great love for all of his pets. Jay loved his family and friends and was very well known for his outgoing personality.
Jay is survived by his daughter, Chelsey Stallings; brother, Charles M. "Chuck" Stallings; two sisters, Paula Cox and Christon (James) Elfring; and several nephews and extended family members.
Pallbearers are Paul Brown, Erice Bell, Billy Wedgeworth, Randall Rose, Ronnie Thompson, and Eddie Nowling. Honorary Pallbearers are Steve Jones, Scott Blackwell, Landon Elfring, and David Pickard.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Tommie Stallings.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 27, 2026, 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at Shady Grove Church of God Cemetery, Meridian, Mississippi.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, 12:00 p.m. at the Shady Grove Church of God Cemetery with Rev. Gilbert Eaves officiating.
Burial will take place in the Shady Grove Church of God Cemetery.
