Mrs. Jeannette Jones, 88, of Shubuta, MS, passed from this life Thursday, August 7, 2025, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Waynesboro, MS, on Tuesday, April 6, 1937, to the late J. Curt and Lois Johnson.
She was a member of Chapparal Baptist Church. She retired as a self-employed cosmetologist. She will always be remembered by her family for her love of cooking and gardening.
Mrs. Jones is preceded in death by her parents, J. Curt and Lois Johnson; brother, Joe Johnson; and grandson, Cheston Jones.
She is survived by her husband, Glenn Robin Jones of Shubuta, MS; three sons, Bobby Jones (Kay), Steve Jones (Sharlene), and Stan Jones, all of Waynesboro, MS; five grandchildren, Natalie Walley (Tucker), Dr. Randy Jones (Andrea), Robby Jones (Dr. Sara), Starren Jones, and Ricco Jordan; and seven great grandchildren.
Visitation for Mrs. Jones will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 9, 2025, at Chapparal Baptist Church in Wayne County, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 9, 2025, at Chapparal Baptist Church in Wayne County, MS, with Rev. Fawzy Shorrosh officiating. Interment will be in Chapparal Cemetery in Waynesboro, MS.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Blair E. Batson Children’s Hospital in Jackson, MS.
Pallbearers are Tucker Walley, Robby Jones, Dr. Randy Jones, Raymond Payne, Mark Johnson, and Brooks Johnson. Honorary Pallbearers are Bruce Young and Butch Jenkins.
