The Primary Election held August 6 brought about a change in one office. Troy Smith, current Clarke County Supervisor, beat Incumbent William Shirley in the race for House District 84. Smith had 72.95% of the votes statewide to Shirley’s 27.05%. Smith will face Independent Coley Roy May in November.
