Jesse Jacobs, 82, of Quitman, Mississippi, passed away on January 23, 2026, at his residence.
He was born on March 25, 1943, to Earl and Thelma (Huddleston) Jacobs in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.
Jesse spent the majority of his life hunting and fishing.
Jesse is survived by his brother, Donald Ray (Patsy) Jacobs; nephews, Joe Jacobs, James (Dana) Jacobs, Daniel (Julie) Jacobs, Glen (Vicky) Stephens, Jay (Laura) Stephens and Scott Stephens; nieces, Virginia Kaye Jacobs, and Rachel Jacobs; cousins, Larry (Wanda) Broadway, Jack Jacobs, and Darnell Jacobs; and a host of great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Earl Jacobs; mother, Thelma Jacobs; brother, Kenny Jacobs; sister, Elaine Jacobs; and nephew, Clint Jacobs.
Pallbearers will include Joe Jacobs, James Jacobs, Daniel Jacobs, Glen Stephens, Larry Broadway and Jay Stephens.
Honorary Pallbearers will include Jack Jacobs, Mark Gibson, David Brooks, and Tom Taylor.
Visitation will be held Thursday, January 29, 2026, 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. at Wright's Funeral Home, Quitman, Mississippi.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 29, 2026, 11:30 a.m. at the Manassa Cemetery with Rev. Don Jacobs officiating.
Burial will take place in the Manassa Cemetery.
