Lora Ann Hoadley of Meridian, MS, and Edward Anderson Kramer of Quitman, MS, were married the evening of Wednesday, June 8, 2022, in a small intimate ceremony on the steps of Clarke County’s oldest building, known as the Trotter House, on East Franklin Street in Quitman.
Lora Ann is the daughter of Joe and Mary Hoadley of Meridian. She is the granddaughter of James and Mary White of Melborne, FL, and Lawrence and Betty Hoadley of Dekalb, MS. Lora works in Meridian as a Dental Assistant and will graduate the Dental Hygiene program at Meridian Community College in spring of 2023.
Edward is the son of Joe and Jane Kramer of Quitman. He is the grandson of the Edward N. Kramer, Jr. and Maudine Fettinger of Quitman, and Helen and Ed Cope Jr. of Yazoo City, MS. Edward works as an attorney in Quitman and serves as an officer in the Mississippi Army National Guard. The couple attends the First United Methodist Church of Quitman.
White and green floral decorations, designed by Fantasy Cottage Florist and Gifts, included summer blooms of hydrangea and local greenery. The couple exchanged rings from Majure Jewelry and Gifts. Judge Tobey Bartee of Quitman officiated. Family and friends toasted the couple during a small indoor reception following the ceremony.
The couple are proud to announce that they have opened the historic Trotter House as a wedding and event venue. Originally built in 1852 by Brig. General William Trotter, the antebellum home is listed on the National Historic Register and boasts original hardwood floors, large spacious rooms with high ceilings, a two-story front porch, a sprawling front lawn, a rear patio and courtyard, and multiple shaded outdoor areas to host marriage ceremonies great and small.
