Southern Mississippi Planning & Development District (SMPDD) is soliciting youth proposals for the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA). The WIOA youth program primarily addresses the needs of youth with barriers to education, employment, and training in the Twin Districts Workforce Development Area (TDWDA). SMPDD requests proposals from organizations interested in being out-of-school youth service providers to fulfill the purpose and intent of WIOA. The following proposals are requested:
WIOA Out-of-School Youth for counties: Clarke, Covington, Greene, Jasper, Jefferson Davis, Perry, Smith, and Wayne.
The Request for Proposals (RFP) will be available on SMPDD’s website at www.smpdd.com/publications after 9:00 AM on Tuesday, May 31, 2022. Submission deadline for all qualified proposals is Tuesday, June 21, 2022, at 5:00 PM Central Standard Time.
