ORDER FIXING DATE
FOR PUBLIC HEARING
ON ANNEXING PROPERTY
ADJACENT TO THE
CLARKDALE FIRE GRADING
DISTRICT TO BECOME
PART OF THE DISTRICT
There came before the Board of Supervisors of Clarke County, Mississippi (the “Board), a petition signed by more than twenty-five (25) individuals who represented they were owners of real property in an area adjacent to the Clarkdale Fire Grading District requesting that as a matter of public convenience and necessity the following property:
Section 24, Township 4 North, Range 16 East; SE ¼ of Section 14, Township 4 North, Range 16 East; and, E ½ of Section 23, Township 4 North, Range 16 East
be annexed to and incorporated into the existing Clarkdale Fire Grading District pursuant to the provisions of Miss. Code Ann. §§ 19-5-215 thru 19-5-241 (1972 as amended).
Having received such petition pursuant to Miss. Code Ann. § 19-5-219 the Board set a public hearing for 10:00 a.m. on the 1st day of July, 2024, upon the question of the public convenience and necessity of the annexation and incorporation of the proposed area within the Clarkdale Fire Grading District.
The Clerk is directed to prepare and publish a notice of the public hearing as required by
Miss. Code Ann. § 19-5-219 (1972 as amended).
