As I drive through small town America I can’t help but notice the ghost like appearance of a by gone era. Stores close, jobs disappear, and a town dies. What’s the cure? One thing is to shop locally, support our hometown businesses at all possible.
When a new county vehicle gets to be purchased, or a city street paved, those companies from outside Clarke County aren’t paying the city or county taxes that fund those purchases. These dollars come from the stores and businesses located here in Clarke County.
I wish to personally thank each person who has supported Action Auctions since our opening in 2011. Without you we would have never made it. Again thanks.
I again notice advertisement featuring an “estate company” out of Meridian and an auction company out of Columbus doing business here locally. I realize my job of becoming the “hometown” auction company of Clarke County has not yet been achieved. I still have some work to do.
Before you make that call or refer a friend to company miles away, please consider your local businesses. After all, we are all in this together?
