Russell Christian Academy traveled south Saturday to go up against the Quitman Panthers.
The day prior to the Quitman Panthers game, Russell Christian Academy faced Columbia Academy and lost 15-0. When they came to Quitman, Russell Christian Academy lost to the Panthers 15-0, and it started with starting pitcher Camon Ivy, who struck out three batters in the game; Braylon Peters, who caught two fly balls; and Kade Hamrick, who outed a runner at the first base in the top of the first two innings.
At the bottom of the first, Peters batted a triple. JC Robinson batted a double that allowed Peters to get to home base. Hamrick hit a double and got JC to home base, later getting to home base himself before the end of the first inning.
In the final two innings, Robinson took the place of Ivy as pitcher and struck out three batters.
At the end of the game, the Panthers successfully defended the top of each inning, and not a single runner made it to home base; however, the Panthers successfully scored 15 runs.
