Kiarra Thompson recently signed to continue her basketball career at Southern Arkansas University.
She is a phenomenal athlete who has played on the Quitman High School varsity basketball team since she was in the eighth grade.
Throughout that time, she has been a two time All-District player, a Magnolia All-Star in 2022, on the All-State Team in 2023, and an MAC All-Star in 2023.
This season, she leads the team in blocks and rebounds and is the third leading scorer so far.
She’s thrilled with her decision to attend Southern Arkansas University and looks forward to representing her community there.
“I am very excited about my upcoming college experience,” proclaimed Kiarra. “I’m ready to see new people and connect with them. I’m also ready to continue to get better and show everyone what I am made of and my talents. I feel like SAU is going to brighten my future and push me to become very independent. I am so honored that the coaches saw talent in me and wanted to help me go further!”
Head Coach Jennie Vance is proud of her and her accomplishments.
“Keke is a super young lady whom I love dearly,” expressed “Vance. “I am so excited for her and hope she goes on to have an amazing college career at Southern Arkansas University!”
With her hard work and determination, she is sure to succeed in all the goals she places for herself after graduation.
