Charlie Benjamin Long was born on September 20, 1937, and entered into his heavenly home on February 2, 2024.
Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Merle Long; three daughters, Suzanne Freeman (Randy), Michele Long, Angela Williams (Tommy); two granddaughters, Amy (Caleb) and Leah; two great grandchildren, Nathan and Liza; sister, Harriet McCann; three nieces, Beth, Brittany, and Raegan; one great niece, Kinsleigh; and two great nephews, Mason and Brody.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Aubrey and Ethyl Long, and his brother, Martin Long.
The family will have a private memorial service at a later date.
Memorials can be made to Enterprise Baptist Church Building Fund or Blair Batson Children’s Hospital.
