Elizabeth Parker Ivy, 88, of Quitman, Mississippi, passed away on April 16, 2024, at her residence.
She was born on April 19,1935, to James and Allie (Rhoden) Parker in Quitman, MS.
Elizabeth was a longtime member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother, gran-gran, and a friend to all that knew her.
Elizabeth is survived by her two daughters, Lisa A. Ivy and Ginger I. (R. L.) Gilmer; son, Gary D. (Sabrina) Ivy; seven grandchildren, Shea Gilmer, Daniel (Madison) Gilmer, Tyler Ivy, Chandler (Mark) Monton, Hayley (Austin) Andries, Alexandra (Ethan) Sawdon, and Gabriel Ivy; five great-grandchildren, Greyson Gilmer, Carver Gilmer, Finn Monton, Huck Monton, and Piper Monton; sister, Faye (Mike) Barrentine; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her father, James M Parker; mother, Allie Rhoden Parker; husband, George "Junior" Lawrence Ivy, Jr.; son, James "Jamie" Lawrence Ivy; three brothers, Alvin Parker, Norman Westley Parker, and George Thomas Parker; and a sister, Evelyn Virginia Stewart.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, April 19, 2024, 10:00 a.m. at the Old Pleasant Hill Cemetery with Rev. Jeremy Clearman officiating.
Burial will take place in the Old Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
