Erma Ruth Kelly, 91, of Quitman, Mississippi, passed away on January 25, 2022, at Anderson's Hospital in Meridian, Mississippi.
She was born on August 19, 1930, to Floyd and Florence Gilbert in Gilbertown, Alabama. They later moved to Stonewall so her father could work at the cotton mill. She also worked there for over 50 years herself. After retiring, she worked at Sam's Club and then at Walmart until her stroke at 88 years old.
She was a founding member of East Quitman Assembly, formerly Jesurun Assembly of God.
Erma is survived by her sons, Randall (Beverly) Kelly and Keith (Rhonda) Kelly; her daughter, Marsha Roberts (Norman); six grandchildren, Raymond Kelly, Daniel (Dominque) Kelly, Chris (April) Kelly, Pam (Tim) Speagle, Jeff (Jennifer) Roberts, and Corey Roberts. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren, Brittany Kelly, Ashley Kelly, DJ Kelly, Marissa Kelly, and Alyssa Roberts.
She was preceded in death by her father, Floyd Gilbert; her mother, Florence Gilbert; her brother, Marshall Gilbert; and her husband, Robert Roland Kelly.
Visitation will be held Thursday, January 27, 2022, after 5:00 p.m. at Wright's Funeral Home in Quitman, Mississippi.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 28, 2022, at 3:00 p.m. at the Wright's Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial will follow at Ole-Johns Memorial Gardens at East Quitman Assembly.
Pallbearers will be Raymond Kelly, Daniel Kelly, Chris Kelly, Jeffery Roberts, Corey Roberts, and Aaron Carney.
