Gloria Jean Williams, 72, of Meridian, Mississippi, passed away on February 14, 2022, at her residence.
She was born on July 22, 1949, to Armistice and Dartha (Dunnam) Smith in Meridian, MS.
Jean is survived by her husband, Edward Wayne Williams; son, Jonathon Wayne Williams; two daughters, Jennifer D. (Kelvin) Hiatt and Angela E. (Lee) McCraney; seven grandchildren, Mason Combest, Katherine Rae Williams, David Edward (Tori) Hiatt, Leslie Jordan (Les) Griffin, David Lee McCraney, Jody Allen (Andi) McCraney, Joshua Michael Crager; nine great grandchildren, Beckett Combest, Sophie Hiatt, Huntley Hiatt, Lorelai Hiatt, Avaleigh Shepherd, Taylor McCraney, Ace McDill, Aiden McDill, and Nala McCraney; brother, Atlee (Sharon Fay) Smith; and sister, Diane (Malcolm) Crane.
She was preceded in death by her father, Armistice Smith; mother, Dartha Ola Smith; brother, John Mark Smith; great grandson, Rylan Jace McCraney.
Visitation was held Wednesday, February 16, 2022, 5:00 p.m. at Wright's Funeral Home, Quitman, Mississippi.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, February 17, 2022, 10:00 a.m. at the Rolling Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Dewayne Crane and Rev. Danny Crane officiating.
Burial took place in the Rolling Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers were David Hiatt, Les Griffin, Joshua Crager, David McCraney, Jody McCraney, Mason Combest, Bryant Smith and Shelby Smith.
