Grover Caswell (Red) Garrett, 72, of Stonewall, Mississippi, passed away peacefully on July 6, 2024, at his home.
He was born on March 6, 1952, to Grover and Dolly (Felts) Garrett in Meridian, MS.
Red is survived by his wife, Cathy Garrett, of 52 years; brother, Ronald Garett of Erath, LA; daughter, Wendy Garrett; son, Jason (Janice) Garrett; five grandchildren, Dusty (Whitney) Pritchett, Caleb Pritchett, Kyle Pritchett, Jacob Garrett, Jaye (Max) Garrett; two great grandchildren, Gus Pritchett and Wrenley Pritchett; and several nieces & nephews.
Pallbearers will be Karey Williams, Walt Fowler, Caleb Pritchett, Kyle Pritchett, Jacob Garrett and Billy Smith. Honorary Pallbearers will be Stan McDonald, Jerry Downs and Dusty Pritchett.
He was preceded in death by his father, Grover Garrett; mother, Dolly Garrett; sister, Lillian Babinaeux; grandson, Colby Pritchett; and great-granddaughter, Vera June Pritchett.
Visitation will be held Thursday, July 11, 2024, 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at Wright's Funeral Home, Quitman, Mississippi.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 12, 2024, 10:00 a.m. at the Wright's Funeral Home with Rev. Kevin McDonald and Rev. Ray Files officiating.
Burial will take place in the Union Baptist Church Cemetery.
