John R. "Ronnie" Sisson, 73, of Enterprise, Mississippi, passed away on August 10, 2024, at his residence.
He was born on March 23, 1951, to John and Lillie (Cooley) Sisson in Mississippi.
Ronnie loved spending time outdoors especially hunting, fishing, and working in his yard. He worked for many years at Rush Hospital in construction and maintenance, where he was a respected department head. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather that loved spending his free time with his family.
Ronnie is survived by his wife, Peggy Sisson; two daughters, Candy L. (Steven) Whitaker and Tammy R. (Joseph) Johnson; two step-sons, Jimmy (Erica) Whitaker and Anthony (Leila) Underwood; four grandchildren, Ava Brooke Boyd, Braxton Lee Boyd, Lilly Rebecca Johnson, and Piper Reese Johnson; eight step-grandchildren; 12 step-great-grandchildren; step-mother, Patsy Sisson; two brothers, Jackie (Beth) Sisson and Jim Sisson; sister, Melinda Busby; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Leslie Sisson; mother, Lillie Mae Chapman; and brother, Larry Chapman.
Visitation will be held Thursday, August 15, 2024, 10:00 a.m. at Souenlovie Baptist Church, Enterprise, Mississippi.
Memorial services will be held on Thursday, August 15, 2024, 11:00 a.m. at the Souenlovie Baptist Church with Dr. Scott Crenshaw and Anthony Underwood officiating.
Burial will take place in the Souenlovie Cemetery.
