Larry Wayne James, 73, of Quitman, Mississippi, passed away on December 22, 2023, at his residence.
He was born on October 27, 1950, to W. L. and Rachel (Ivy) James in Quitman, MS.
Larry served in the United States Marine Corps. He was a member of the Clarke County Cattlemen's Association.
Larry is survived by his three daughters, Sarah E. (Ramiro) Gonzalez, Cindy (Sergio) Trejo, and Hope (Timothy) Logan; 11 grandchildren, Adrian (Holee) Reon, Rachel Reon, Miguel (Victoria) Gonzalez, Austin Gonzalez, Nadia Gonzalez, Jessica Suarez, Arron (Sarah) James, Kamron James, Haley Logan, Chase Logan, and River Logan; nine great-grandchildren, Dustie Acreman, Bentlee Acreman, Aliyiana Logan, Isaiah Logan, Carson Reon, Saphira Reon, Athena Reon, Armond Reon, and Penelope Gonzalez; two sisters, Wanda (Billy) Fontaine and Brenda (Perry) Smith; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
He was preceded in death by his father, W. L. James; mother, Rachel Ivy James; wife, Faithe Ilean James; and son, Lucas Wayne James.
Visitation was held Saturday, December 23, 2023, 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. at Wright's Funeral Home, Quitman, Mississippi.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, December 23, 2023, 2:00 p.m. at the Wright's Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. William Chancellor officiating.
Burial took place in the Montrose Cemetery.
