Melvin Ray Lofton, 77, of Enterprise, Mississippi, passed away on March 2, 2022, at Anderson's Hospital.
He was born on November 14, 1944, to Melvin and Lonnie (Simpson) Lofton in Clarke County, MS.
Ray is survived by his daughter, Stephanie (Danny) Harper; son, Stephen Ray (Candy) Lofton; four grandchildren, Haley (Brandon) Copeland, Hunter Harper, Ali (Justin) Anderson, and Joey (Hope) Lofton; three great-granddaughters, Kelbie Klaire Copeland, Lakyn Lee Copeland and Mackenzie Jo Lofton.
He was preceded in death by his father, Melvin Eugene Lofton; mother, Lonnie Elizabeth Lofton; and wife, Wylene Marie Lofton.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, March 5, 2022, 10:00 a.m. at the Archusa Memorial Gardens with Rev. Ronnie Adams and Rev. Richard Coats officiating.
Burial took place in the Archusa Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers were Danny Harper, Hunter Harper, Brandon Copeland, Steve Lofton, Joey Lofton and Justin Anderson. Honorary Pallbearers were Ben Moore, Randy Freeman, Don Moore, Paratech Ambulance Service, and the staff on the 3rd floor at Anderson's Hospital.
