Michael Almon Hayes, 62, of Quitman, Mississippi, passed away on February 1, 2023, at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland, MS.
He was born on February 24, 1960, to Almon and Carroll (Walker) Hayes in Mobile, AL.
Michael is survived by his father, Almon "Sonny" (Iwana) Hayes; mother, Carroll Porter; daughter, Kimberly M. Ellis; two sisters, Sherry Hayes and Kelly McQueen; two nephews, Josh Hayes and Samuel McQueen; step-brother, Glenn Howard; and aunt, Carolyn (Junior) Kennedy.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Maria Theresa Hayes.
Pallbearers were Mark Kennedy, Mitch Kennedy, Matt Kennedy, Glenn Howard, Josh Hayes, and Samuel McQueen.
Visitation was held Saturday, February 4, 2023, 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. at East Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Quitman, Mississippi.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, February 4, 2023, 11:00 a.m. at East Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Joe Gullick officiating.
Burial took place in the East Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
