Nina Sanders, 94, of Enterprise, Mississippi, passed away on March 12, 2022, at her residence.
She was born on December 7, 1927, to Ernest and Lula (Nester) Williams in Noxubee County, MS.
She was a lifelong member of Souenlovie Baptist Church, that served in numerous roles for her church family. She retired as a seamstress from Quitman Knitting Mill. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and a friend to all that knew her.
Nina is survived by her three daughters, Betty Sanders Touchstone, Denise (Hilton) Davis, and Karen (Richard) Benefield; three sons, Gerald (Marie) Sanders, Tommy (Johnnie Ruth) Sanders and David "Skeet" Sanders; 12 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews and extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her father, Ernest Williams; mother, Lula Bell Williams; husband, Harmon Dewey Sanders; two brothers, Robert Stevens Williams and Alvah Lee Williams; sister, Elizabeth Franklin.
Visitation was held Monday, March 14, 2022, after 5:00 p.m. at Wright's Funeral Home, Quitman, Mississippi, and 30 minutes prior to the service, Tuesday, March 15, 2022, at Souenlovie Baptist Church.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, March 15, 2022, 11:00 a.m. at the Souenlovie Baptist Church with Rev. Jack Kern officiating.
Burial took place in the Souenlovie Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Richard Touchstone, Daniel Benefield, David Sanders, Steven Sanders, Jacob Touchstone, Jim Sisson, Chris Davis and Trey Cooper.
