Patti Layne Reed Avera, 69, of Enterprise, Mississippi, passed away on April 17, 2024, at her residence.
She was born on March 22,1955, to Mitchell and Anita (Bradley) Reed in Lauderdale , MS.
Patti attended school in Stonewall and Enterprise and later became a licensed cosmetologist, housewife, mother, and raised five girls. Later in life, Patti went to work in the public, working in retail and customer service where she gained over 20 years of experience and made countless friends.
Patti is survived by her husband, Curtis C. Avera; five daughters, Lisa (Billy Rascoe) Manasco, Anitra (Blake) Watson, Tina (Ronnie) McCoy, Kim (Richard White) Johns, and Brandi (Brent) Lough; 11 grandchildren, Jonathan Whitaker, Haleigh (Russ) Flowers, Zackary Hutchinson, Shelby Hutchinson, Hannah McCoy, Taylor Manasco, Marly Johns, Ava Maddox, Ryan (Lily) McCoy, KC Johns, and Wilson Maddox; five great-grandchildren, Autumn Flowers, Brandtley Flowers, Kole Flowers, Kamden Ivy, S J McCoy; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her father, Mitchell Tunstall Reed, Sr.; mother, Anita Bradley Reed; father-in-law, Carson Avera; mother-in-law, Mattie Colen Avera; and brother, Mitchell "Mike" Tunstall Reed, Jr.
Memorial services will be held at a later date and time.
