Richard Joe Savell Sr., 62, of Chunky, Mississippi, passed away on December 13, 2022, at Anderson's Hospital.
He was born on August 29, 1960, to William and Dorothea (Hinson) Savell in Pasadena, TX.
Richard is survived by his wife, Ann Savell; son, Richard Joe (Heather) Savell, Jr.; five grandchildren, Shane Kennedy, Jessalyn Savell, Cooper Savell, Brooklynn Anderson, and Trey Savell; and brother, Billy (Ila) Savell.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Carl Savell; mother, Dorothea Mae Harrison; son, Jesse M Savell; and sister, Renee Alsup.
Visitation was held Saturday, December 17, 2022, 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. at Wright's Funeral Home, Quitman, Mississippi.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, December 17, 2022, 11:00 a.m. at the Wright's Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Roger Ivey officiating.
Burial took place in the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Phil Byrd, Murry Phil Byrd, Michael Waltman, Christopher Hempfleng, Charles Gilley and Shane Vic. Honorary Pallbearers were Lewis Brown and Corey Weaver.
