Shelbie Jean Whitfield, 87, of Brandon, Mississippi, passed away on October 20, 2024, at Baptist Hospital in Jackson, MS.
She was born on May 22, 1937, to Mack and Nettie (Roberts) Lucas in Crandall, MS.
Shelbie is survived by her daughters, Karen (Brian) Davidson and Kim (Jimmy) Carter; brothers, Robert Lucas, Timothy Lucas, and John Barlow Lucas; sister, Patsy Brock; three grandchildren, Bailey Davidson, Brennon Davidson, and Tyler Carter.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mack David Lucas and Nettie Ruth Lucas; brother, Mack David Lucas, Jr.; and sister, Cherry Lucas.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, 2:00 p.m. at the Mt. Pisgah Cemetery (Melvin, AL).
Burial will take place in the Mt. Pisgah Cemetery (Melvin, AL).
