Tommie Lou Long, 81, of Stonewall, Mississippi, passed away on September 4, 2023, at her residence.
She was born on June 10, 1942, to Charles and Winnie (Adams) Robinson in Harmony, MS.
Tommie Lou loved working as court clerk and serving her community as a poll worker during elections. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, whether going to the races, watching Alabama Football, going to the casino, or playing cards and dominos. She also had a love for music, and she enjoyed playing the piano in her spare time. She was a former member of Calvary Baptist Church and is a current member at First Baptist Church in Stonewall, MS.
Tommie Lou is survived by her three daughters, Brittiany Stephens, Ashley (Larry) Vann, and Raegan (Lindsey Blancett) Deason; seven grandchildren, Alexis (Brandon) Neal, Liz Vann, Caleb Vann, Abby Vann, Kinsleigh Deason, Mason Deason, and Brody Stephens; two great-grandchildren, Harris Neal and Margaret Neal; two brothers, Charles V. (Mary Ann) Robinson, Jr., and Edward Robinson; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Vivian Robinson, Sr.; mother, Winnie Olive Robinson; daughter, April Robinson Long; granddaughter, Aubrey Vivian Stephens; grandson, Braxton Martin Stephens; and her sister, Linda Huddleston.
Visitation will be held Thursday, September 7, 2023, after 5:00 p.m. at Wright's Funeral Home, Quitman, Mississippi.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 8, 2023, 11:00 a.m. at the Wright's Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dennis Coats and Rev. Ray Files officiating.
Burial will take place in the Odd Fellows Cemetery.
