Wiley Avera, 85, of Quitman, Mississippi, passed away on October 28, 2024, at his residence.
He was born on August 4, 1939, to Luke and Mertie Ann (Fuller) Avera in Quitman, MS.
Wiley is survived by his wife, Janelle Avera; son, Steve (Amanda) Avera; daughters, Brenda (Todd) Bloch and Wanda (Robby) Underwood; sister, Ina Jewel (James) Davidson; grandchildren, Caleb (Calah) Avera, Jacob Underwood, Luke (Melissa) Avera, Charity (Bhim) Ghimire, Bailey (Mason) Daniell, Barrett Bloch, Fletcher Bloch, Foster Bloch, and Emma Underwood; great-grandchildren, Juliet Avera, Tucker Avera, Maverick Ghimire, and Malorie Avera.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mertie Ann Avera, and father, Luke Avera.
Visitation will be held Thursday, October 31, 2024, 12:30 p.m. at Wright's Funeral Home, Quitman, Mississippi.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 31, 2024, 2:00 p.m. at the Wright's Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. William Chancellor and Rev. Steve Avera officiating.
Burial will take place in the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery.
