Graveside services for William Franklin “Billy” Rogers, Sr., 51 of Quitman, Mississippi, were held Monday, March 4, 2024, at 11:30 a.m. at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery in Quitman with Rev. Jason Castle Officiating. Visitation was held at the cemetery from 11:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m.
William Franklin “Billy” Rogers, Sr. passed away on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson surrounded by his loving family. He was born on January 7, 1973, in Houston, Texas, to Jerry Shine Rogers, Sr. and Rose Hitchcock Rogers. Billy worked as a welder.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Brigit Rogers; father, Jerry Shine Rogers, Sr.; son, William Rogers, Jr. (Gennifer); daughters, Danielle Roberson and Brittany Johnson (Tony); brother, Jerry Rogers, Jr. (Louann); sister, Ashlie Dickinson (Donald); and twelve grandchildren, Timberlynn Roberson, Mitchell O’Cain, Xander O’Cain, Marleah Crowell, Carson Johnson, Easton Johnson, Jordan Johnson, Toni Johnson, Mackenzie Rogers, Willow Rogers, Cooper Rogers, and Adien Vargas.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Rose Hitchcock Rogers.
Pallbearers included Brandon Skinner, Les Pearson, Tyler Evans, Jeremy Dean, Byron Coody, and Justin Rogers.
