AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING RATES AND CHARGES FOR THE SERVICES OF THE COMBINED WATER AND SEWER SYSTEM OF THE TOWN OF ENTERPRISE, MISSISSIPPI AND REPEALING ORDINANCE #88, ENTITLED ‘AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING RATES AND CHARGES FOR THE WATER WORKS SYSTEM OF THE TOWN OF ENTERPRISE, MISSISSIPPI”, AS WELL AS OTHER ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH.
Be it ordained by the Mayor and Board of Aldermen of The Town of Enterprise, Mississippi, as follows:
Effective September 20, 2024, non-refundable customer service fees shall be as follows:
$60.00 for Homeowners
$110.00 for Renters and Commercial Accounts
1. Meters shall be read between the 7th and 15th day of each month.
2. Payment “IN FULL” shall be due by the 10th of each month (5.p.m. on the 10th for online payments)
3. A late charge of 10% will be added to all bills received after the 10th day of the month.
4. In the event a bill for water and sewer service remains unpaid as of the 15th day of the month, Town personnel shall discontinue service to the customer on the next business day thereafter. If the 15th falls on a Friday, weekend, or a holiday the cutoff date will be on the next business day. No Notice will be provided.
5. In the event a “CUT OFF” notice is attached to any house; an additional $50.00 charge will be added to the account. The full bill plus the $50.00 must be paid before service is restored.
6. There shall be a $40.00 fee on all returned checks
7. Accounts are to be paid to the Town of Enterprise at Town Hall, by mail, or online at www.msezpay.com
8. The applicant agrees that they have followed the guidelines set forth by the State Department of Health regarding onsite wastewater disposal.
9. NO UTILITIES shall be provided to “NEW DEVELOPMENT” without checking with Floodplain Administrator for flood zone determination.

This ordinance shall become effective and be in full force from and after its passage, approval, and publication as by law:

Sewer is 75% of Water bill - $12.00 first 2,000 gallons
After $5.25 per 1,000 gallons
