The Clarke County Tribune would like to petition each of you to participate in a Reverse Advent Calendar December 1-22 benefitting The Clarke County Baptist Center, our local CAN group that feeds the elderly and low-income families in our county, and our local community food boxes in Quitman.
With this project, we request you help fill our food box with certain items each day. The Tribune is only open Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. daily, so for the weekend days, you can bring on Friday or Monday. You are welcome to bring the items each day or as many as you like at one time. If any churches or other organizations would like to participate, please collect items and bring them to the Tribune at 101 Main Street, Quitman, by December 21. Items will be delivered to the Baptist Center on December 22.
The items to be collected for each day of December are:
1 – box of cereal
2 – peanut butter
3 – stuffing mix
4 – boxed potatoes
5 – mac and cheese
6 – canned fruit
7 – canned tomatoes
8 – canned tuna
