August 3, 2021
The Mayor and Board of Aldermen met in a regular meeting on Tuesday, August 3, 2021, at 6:00 p.m. in the Enterprise Town Hall located at 500 River Road.
Mayor Chancelor presented the following business:
1. to rehire all current employees of the Town of Enterprise. Motion was approved by all.
2. to adopt an agenda policy for public participation in the regular board meetings. This policy includes a request to be put on the agenda form along with rules of conduct for those wishing to address the board. Motion was approved by all.
3. a request by the former Enterprise Women's Club for the Town to take over the cemetery. This item of business was tabled.
4. to hire Officer John Griffith as police chief. Officer Griffith will work part time Motion was approved by all.
5. to send Officer Macy Torey to two Firearms Instructor Courses in September. Motion was approved by all.
6. to hire Officer Bradley McNeece as a probationary full-time officer. Hours will be 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. To increase pay for all part-time officers from $12.00 per hour to $14.00 per hour. Motion was approved by all.
7. set a date of August 17, 2021, at 5:30 p.m. to hold the Public Hearing on the proposed budget and Tax Levy for the upcoming 2021-2022 fiscal year.
Clerk Ruth Combest presented the following business:
1. The yearly Independent Accountants' Report and Compilation Report for the fiscal year ended September 30, 2020. Motion was approved by all.
2. to open a new checking account to hold the American Rescue Plan Act (ARP A) funds with Clerk Ruth Combest, Mayor Tony Chancelor and Alderman Ben Moore as signers. Motion was approved by all.
3. to limit the water accounts to having only one name per account. Motion was approved by all.
4. to approve travel and for Ruth Combest to attend the Court Clerks Conference in Philadelphia, MS on September 22-24, 2021. Motion was approved by all.
5. to purchase an air purifier that has ActivePure Technology for the Senior Center from Aerus Electrolux at the price of $1499.00. Motion was approved by all.
6. to delete the Town of Enterprise Facebook page and use the website www.townofenterprise.com to post information such as water outages, change in garbage pickup, or information abouts events. Motion was approved by all.
Water Superintendent Randy Freeman informed the board of a new state law mandating that two board members must obtain an additional four hours of updated advanced training every four years for water.

August 17, 2021
The Mayor and Board of Aldermen met in a Public Hearing on the proposed budget and proposed tax levies for the upcoming fiscal year 2021-2022 and a recessed meeting on Tuesday, August 17, 2021, at 5:30 p.m. in the Enterprise Town Hall located at 500 River Road.
Mayor Chancelor stated that the purpose of the Public Hearing was to hear from the public on the
proposed budget and tax levies for the 2021-2022 fiscal year of the Town of Enterprise. There was no public in attendance. Mayor Chancelor asked for a motion to adopt the tax levy at 48 mills. The millage rate will remain the same as last year. Motion was approved by all.
Alderman Heath Kasselman made a motion to put Police Chief John Griffin on a weekly salary. Motion was approved by all.
Alderman Darrel Phillips made a motion to approve purchasing bullet proof vest for each of the officers of the police department and to purchase ammo for the officers to use for firearms certification. Motion was approved by all.

September 7, 2021
The Mayor and Board of Aldermen met in a regular meeting on Tuesday, September 7, 2021, at 6:00 p.m. in the Enterprise Town Hall located at 500 River Road.
Mayor Chancelor recognized CPA Stephen Myrick. Mr. Myrick reviewed the Independent Accountants' Report on Applying Agreed-upon Procedures and Accountants' Compilation Report as required by the State to be done on a yearly basis.
Mayor Chancelor presented the following business:
1. to approve the pay raises for employees. Motion was approved by all.
2. to adopt the budget for the fiscal year 2021-2022. Motion was approved by all.
3. the board to take over responsibility and care of the cemetery. The board declined to take over the
cemetery.
Clerk Ruth Combest presented the following business:
1. presented a bid from Stephens Tank Painting Service, Inc. in the amount of $89,094.00 for the work to be done on the water tank. Only one bid was received. Motion was approved by all.
2. to send Clerk Ruth Combest to Master Clerk Classes in Hattiesburg on October 25-27, 2021. Motion was approved by all.
Police Chief John Griffith notified the board that Officer Millie Utsey had resigned.

September 13, 2021
The Mayor and Board of Alderman met for a work session on Friday, September 13, 2021, at 6:00 p.m. at the Enterprise Town Hall located at 500 River Road.
Bro. Macon Phillips drove everyone present on a tour of the town, directed by Randy Freeman, in order for all present to be more informed of the layout of the town, to gather ideas of potential problem areas and where possible improvements can be made. The bus returned to Town Hall and the meeting ended. No decisions or actions were taken.
