Anna M. Smith, 97, of Pachuta, Mississippi, passed away on July 25, 2021, at Anderson's Hospital in Meridian, MS.
She was born on July 13, 1924, to Joseph and Jennie (Marvin) Burt in Mineola, NY.
Anna is survived by her daughter, Barbara Elizabeth (Donald Brett) Cook; grandsons, William Henry Cook, Jesse McKinley Cook, and Sean M. (Terri) Smith; step-granddaughter, Karla (Steven) Schultz; step-grandson, Donald Brett (Jan) Cook, Jr.; step-granddaughter, Lesle Groves; great-granddaughter, Brianna Jean Smith; great-grandson, Ian Smith; and five step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Burt; mother, Jennie Burt; husband, William Chester Smith; son, William Arthur Smith; and a brother, Joseph Burt.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, July 28, 2021, 10:00 a.m. at the Phalti Cemetery with Rev. Randy McHan officiating.
Burial will take place in the Phalti Cemetery.
