Barbara Nell Boggan, 70, of Hickory, Mississippi, passed away on Thursday, October 28, 2021, at Rush Foundation Hospital in Meridian, Mississippi. She was born Wednesday, April 4, 1951, in Rose Hill, Mississippi.
Graveside services were held Sunday, October 31, 2021, at 2:00 P.M. at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery in Rose Hill. Bro. Keith Bogan officiated. Newton County Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Nell will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She worked at Rush Hospital for over 20 years as an accomplished phlebotomist. She enjoyed being around people, and people enjoyed being around her. She was a mess- a spunky, fun-loving personality who wholeheartedly loved her boys, her grandson Zane and her chickens. She will truly be missed by all that knew her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Addison Frank Boggan; and her parents, Otho and Hilda Hicks.
Survivors include her sons, Corbett (Amber) Boggan and Cory Boggan; grandson, Zane Boggan; sister, Odell Vick; and her cousin, Wilma Allen.
Pallbearers were Orville Smith, Jamey Smith, Rodney Wilcher, Austin Thomas, and Richard Whitten.
Honorary pallbearers were Bo Pilgrim, Glenn Smith, and Zane Boggan.
