Charles Edward Lee Elmore, 71, of Quitman, Mississippi, passed away on April 21, 2021, at his residence. He was born on October 3, 1949, to Charles and Jennie (Sellers) Elmore in Choctaw County, AL.
He was a member and deacon of Elim Baptist Church of Quitman, MS. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and nephew that loved music, playing the guitar and antique automobiles.
Charles is survived by his wife, Jo Ann Elmore; daughter, Lora Elmore (Jason A.) Davidson; brother, James (Angela) Elmore; sisters, Charlotte Smyly, Cheryl (Joe) Chestang, Cathy (Bruce Hutchinson) Moorer, and Elaine (Wayne) Miller; grandchildren, Karmen Davidson and Kendal Davidson; and special aunt, Dot Elmore.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Junior and Jennie Ruth Elmore; and special uncle, Pierce Elmore.
Visitation was held Friday, April 23, 2021, after 9:00 a.m. at Wright's Funeral Home, Quitman.
Funeral services were held at 12:00 p.m. at the Mt. Pisgah Cemetery (Melvin, AL) with Rev. Tony Volking officiating. Burial took place in the Mt. Pisgah Cemetery (Melvin, AL).
Pallbearers were Dr. Jack McHenry, William Abston, Jason Davidson, Kenneth Elmore, Johnny Dear and James Abston. Honorary Pallbearers were Albert Elmore and J.J. Abston.
