Frank Davis Buckley, 67, of Enterprise, MS, passed away May 21, 2021, at Baptist Hospital, Jackson, MS. Frank was born on October 21, 1953, to Walton "Sonny" and Margaret Buckley in Meridian, MS.
Frank was a beloved member of the South Lauderdale and Enterprise Communities and a friend to all. He was president of South Lauderdale Fire & Rescue, a certified firefighter for both the South Lauderdale and Enterprise Volunteer Fire Departments, and a certified driver for the Enterprise Volunteer Ambulance Service, a certified EMR, past president of Lauderdale County EMR Association, on the Board of Directors of the Meridian Amateur Radio Club, Ham Operator KF5ETN, a search and rescue dog handler, two time cancer survivor, and an active cancer patient volunteer.
He is survived by his best friend, Kathy Moulds; his daughter, Ashly Buckley; his granddaughter, Kari Dyes; his mother, Margaret Buckley; brother, John W Buckley (Gennie); sister, Lida Stichman; niece, Ginger Buckley Lee (Ken); nephews, Brian Buckley (Misty); Matthew Stichman (Parisa).
He was preceded in death by his father, Walton "Sonny" Buckley, Jr; his wife, Patsy Buckley; and his brother, Joe Buckley.
Services were held May 29, 2021, at 12 p.m. at Enterprise Baptist Church, Family Life Center, with Bro. Macon Phillips and Bro. Richard Cothern officiating. Burial was at Enterprise Cemetery. Shawn Stewart presented the Eulogy.
Pallbearers were Ricky Kidd, Brian Buckley, Billy Mitts, Kevin Richardson, Steven Stewart, Ted Valentine.
Honorary pallbearers were Dan Kersh, Johnny Gandy and Morris Moulds.
Honor Guards were provided by Lauderdale County and Clarke County Volunteer Firefighters, Lauderdale County Emergency Responders, and Metro Ambulance Personnel.
