Johnny Douglas Pugh, 89, of Quitman, Mississippi, passed away on April 1, 2021, at Bedford Care Nursing Center.
He was born on January 25, 1932, to Walter and Myra (Phillips) Pugh in Quitman, MS.
Survived by his four children, E. Linda Simpson (Donnie), Kathie S. Parke (Stephen), D. Jason Pugh (Celinda), and J. Dale Pugh (Ernestine). Also survived by his grandchildren: Melissa Simpson Noblitt, Brian Simpson, Christy Parke-Bass, Rachel Parke, Stephen Parke, Jr., Chad Parke, Marco Pugh, Nicholas Pugh, Leia Pugh, Carmen Pugh Hart, Maegan Pugh Herron, Brandon Pugh; and several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Clifford and Myra Selma Pugh; and his wife, Mary Evelyn Dearman Pugh.
Visitation was held Wednesday, April 7, 2021, 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at Wright's Funeral Home, Quitman, Mississippi.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, April 7, 2021, 1:00 p.m. at the Wright's Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dennis Coats officiating.
Burial took place in the Cooper's Chapel Methodist Church Cemetery.
