Loyd H. Miller, 90, of Quitman, Mississippi, passed away on October 7, 2021, at his residence.
He was born on December 10, 1930, to Jeff and Annie (Carroll) Miller in Quitman.
Loyd was a veteran of the United States Air Force, that served during the Vietnam War. He retired at the rank of Chief Master Sargent after 25 years of service. Loyd was also a Mason and a member of the Terral Masonic Lodge, and a longtime active member and deacon of the First Baptist Church of Quitman.
Loyd is survived by two sons, Davis L. (Joni) Miller, and Gregory R. (Lynn) Miller; three grandchildren, Blair Miller (John Samuel) Dailey, Carson Campbell Miller, and Callie Miller (Vaughn) Threatt; two great-grandchildren, Ethan L. Threatt and Emma L. Threatt.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jeff Davis Miller; mother, Annie C. Miller; wife, Billie Chestnut Miller; and a brother, Carl Miller.
Graveside services were held on Sunday, October 10, 2021, 1:30 p.m. at Odd Fellows Cemetery with Dr. Raymon Leake officiating.
Burial took place in the Odd Fellows Cemetery.
