A well-known Clarke County man was killed last week in a vehicle accident on I-20 in Lauderdale County.
David Talley, 56, of the Snell Community, was killed when his Ford Taurus collided with an 18-wheeler that was overturned on the interstate around 2:30 a.m. on July 28, according to Mississippi Highway Patrol. The interstate was shut down to one lane for almost nine hours.
Talley was the owner of Wonder Balloons, his balloon animal and magician business. He was seen at most festivals and schools nearby making children and adults smile with his colorful balloon animals.
The passengers of the 18-wheeler were uninjured in the accident. Mississippi Highway Patrol is continuing to investigate the accident.

David Eugene Talley, 56, of Meridian, Mississippi, passed away on July 28, 2021, in Meridian, MS.
He was born on October 20, 1964, to Rev. Donald and Mary (Bishop) Talley in Cullman, AL.
David is survived by his daughters, April M. (James A.) Goodson and Alyssa J. Talley; brother, Daniel E. (Debra L.) Talley; sister, Cynthia M. (Emery) Luther; mother of his children, Rhonda Talley; father, Rev. Donald E. Talley; mother, Mary M. Talley, and several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Visitation was held Saturday, July 31, 2021, 11:00 a.m. at Wright's Funeral Home, Quitman, Mississippi.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, July 31, 2021, 2:00 p.m. at the Wright's Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Chuck Overby officiating.
Burial took place in the Jones Chapel Church of God Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Leo Howard, Philip Creighton, Samuel Talley, Tyler Hayes, James Joplin II and Joshua Sullivan.
