This week's game has been moved to tonight (Thursday night) at 7:30 p.m. due to the threat of weather Friday night.
The game against Heidelberg Friday night kicked off with #3 Jaliel Cameron kicking the ball into the Oiler 20 yard line. Oilers lose the ball to #5 Akylin Dear. Dear now on the carry, scored a touchdown for the Panthers followed by a successful PAT from Cameron. The Panther’s score was 7-0.
Cameron kicked the start of the next play with the game. The kick from Cameron put the ball on the Oilers 23 yard line. The Oilers pushed the ball back to the 45 yard line. Dear gained the ball and ran the ball to the Oiler endzone, but the PAT was no good. The score was Panthers 13 - Oilers 0. Cameron kicked the ball to the Oiler 30. The Oilers pushed the Panthers back to the 40, but lost the ball soon after. Now having gained the ball, the Panthers pushed the ball to the endzone with Dear on the carry. The Panthers successfully landed a two point conversion. The score was Panthers 21 - Oilers 0. At the end of the first Quarter, Cameron kicked the ball to the Oiler 20.
During the second quarter, the ball stayed in play for the entire duration of the second quarter with no touchdown from either side. The second quarter ended with Dear pushing the ball to the Oiler 15.
At the beginning of the third quarter, the Oilers kicked the ball to the Panther 40 yard line. The Panthers pushed to the Oiler 45 yard line before Cameron punted the ball to the 10 yard line. Oilers pushed the ball to their 15 yard line before attempting a pass that was intercepted by Cameron. Cameron then scored a touchdown and kicked a successful PAT for the Panthers. The score was Panthers 28 - Oilers 0. At the end of the third quarter, Cameron kicked the ball to the Oilers’ 25 yard line.
In the final quarter, the Oilers advanced to the 45 yard line. The Panthers’ defensive line pushed the Oilers back to the 25. The Oilers punted the ball into the arms of #7 Junior Defensive Back Jorian Satcher. Satcher then passed the ball to #10 Junior Wide Receiver Tommy Chambers who scored the final touchdown of the game. With the PAT from Cameron being good, the final score of the game was Panthers 35 - Oilers 0.
The next game will be a home game where the Panthers will face off at 7:30 p.m. against Newton Municipal High School Tigers.
