In the first quarter of the Homecoming game, the Panthers kicked off with a punt from Jaliel Cameron to the Wildcat 24 yardline where the Panthers recovered a fumble from the Wildcats. Akylin Dear on the carry, scored the first touchdown of the game with a successful point after touchdown from Jias Davis. Panthers 7 - Wildcats 0.
Cameron punted the ball to the 45 yard line. The Panthers gained control of the ball at the Wildcat 49 yard line. Dear received a pass from the Wildcat 35 yard line and ran the ball to the end zone clearing another touchdown for the Panthers. The PAT from Davis was good and the score was 14-0.
Cameron kicked the ball to the Wildcat 35. The Panthers recovered the fumble on the Wildcat 35 yard line. Cameron, on the carry, ran the ball to the 1 yard line. Dear scored the touchdown, and Davis landed another good PAT. Panthers 21 - Wildcats 0. Cameron kicked the ball to the Wildcat 41.
Continuing into the second quarter, the ball fumbled on the 25 yard line and was recovered by #42 Junior Defensive End Malik Davis, and he ran straight to the endzone. The PAT was no good. Panthers 27 - Wildcats 0.
Cameron kicked the ball to the Wildcat 27. The Panthers gained control of the ball at the 30. Dear ran the ball to the Wildcat 8. Davis scored the touchdown again and paired with a successful PAT. Panthers 34 - Wildcats 0.
Cameron kicked the ball to the Wildcat 40. The Panthers pushed to the 10 yard line. Davis scored the touchdown, but the attempted two-point conversion failed. The halftime score was Panthers 40 - Wildcat 0.
In the beginning of the third quarter, the Wildcats kicked into the arms of #16 J’lon McCoy who ran the ball all the way home. The PAT from Davis was good. Panthers 47 - Wildcats 0.
The Panthers kicked to the Wildcat 35. #41 Sophomore Line Back Jeremiah Harris scored the touchdown for the Panthers and Davis’ PAT was good. Panthers 54 - Wildcats 0.
In the final quarter, Cameron punted the ball to the Wildcat 44. The Panthers pushed to the 20 before #11 Senior Wide Receiver Braylon Peters scored the final touchdown, but the PAT was no good. The final score of the game was Panthers 60 - Wildcats 0.
The next game will be the long-awaited rematch against the Enterprise Bulldogs on Friday the 23 at 7:30 p.m. at Quitman.
