One man is in very serious condition after an incident on County Road 370 Friday night.
“Sometime after 9:00 on Friday night, a 911 call was made about a man found lying on County Road 370 who needed medical attention,” stated Chief Deputy Barry White.
When EMS and the Clarke County Sheriff’s Department arrived on the scene, it initially appeared that the individual had been thrown out of a moving vehicle. No one had any information on him at that time, and he was flown to the University Medical Center by AirCare.
By Saturday, authorities were able to contact the victim’s girlfriend and find out what really happened.
“His girlfriend was questioned on Saturday,” explained White. “It turns out they had a domestic issue at the residence. She tried to leave the residence, and he jumped on the vehicle. He slid off the vehicle on County Road 370.”
At this time, the incident is still under investigation, and charges are pending.
