Maudrie L. Higdon, 94, of Quitman, Mississippi, passed away on June 27, 2026, in Jackson, Mississippi.
She was born on March 28, 1932, to Eddie and Celine (Simoneaux) Landry in Napoleonville, LA.
Maudrie is survived by her sons, Roy Higdon, Chris (Dawn) Higdon, and Glen (Bethany) Higdon; grandchildren, Ryan (Anna) Higdon, Ashley (Alan) Hagwood, Leslie Higdon, Amber (Thomas) Bullock, Wesley (Heather) Higdon, and Kristen Higdon; and 9 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, Eddie Landry; mother, Celine Landry; husband, Roy D. Higdon, Jr.; and brothers, Warren Landry and Edward Landry.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 1, 2026, 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Wright's Funeral Home, Quitman, Mississippi, and Thursday, July 2, 2026, 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. at St. Bernadette Catholic Church in Waynesboro, MS.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 2, 2026, 10:00 a.m. at the St. Bernadette Catholic Church in Waynesboro, MS.
Burial will take place in the Hazelhurst Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Ryan Higdon, Will Higdon, Wesley Higdon, Brody Higdon, Alan Hagwood, and Thomas Bullock.
