Merrehope is lookin’ snazzy and feelin’ jazzy all dressed up in Mardi Gras attire. The historic 20 room Neoclassical Revival mansion is simply spectacular. On Friday, February 9, she’ll be ready for the Third Annual Masquerade at Merrehope that has established itself as Meridian’s Mardi Gras Pre-Parade Party. Decorators are claiming that it will be the most blinged-out year yet.
The fun will kick off at 6:00 p.m. and continue until 8:30 with live jazzy musicians plus some unique guest performers and guests throughout the evening. New Orleans style Mardi Gras party fare will be served at this BYOB event, and some lucky folks will win Mardi Gras door prizes and raffles.
You can dress all out in Mardi Gras attire, just throw some beads around your neck or come as you are and put on some bling at the door. On the following morning, Saturday, you can pick up where you left off and head downtown for the Meridian Mardi Gras Parade.
Admission is $20 at the door and $10 for students.
